Dear Dad,

Congratulations on reaching such a wonderful milestone in your life! You are loved by many people, as evidenced by the wonderful tribute Jeff has assembled for you from your loved ones.

Let me add to the tribute by expressing my warmest birthday wishes to you. You’ve always been the best father-in-law I could have ever hoped for. You and mom welcomed me with open arms from day one and I want you to know that I don’t take that for granted. You’ve opened your house to Len and me many times, and have welcomed and loved our children unconditionally.

What touches me the most is the connection that you and mom made with my parents, and especially the connection between you and my dad. Len and I couldn’t have hoped for more than our parents just getting along, but the four of you became good friends and really defined what family is all about. The fact that the four of you once met at Mastori’s diner without ever letting us know about it says it all! :)

Thank you for always making me feel a part of your family and always telling me that you love me. It means more than words can say.
